Been having a real good time
I spent last week with my associate Asa at the EBA annual Bluesweek jamming, performing and learning under Blues legends like John Cephas, Phil Wiggins, Tom Ball and Kenny Sultan and it was really fantastic.
I highly recommend an experience like this to anyone, even if it's not a Blues thing; just spending time with other people who have the same passions and interests as you is brilliant, although if it's Blues it's even better obviously.
Highlights of the week for wer being told by Tom Ball after hearing me and Asa play that "the future of the Blues is in good hands", and being called the new Mick Jagger by pretty much everyone there (always a plus, I feel), and just hearing the applause after we played was such a high.
Everyone should go to Bluesweek, even if it is ludicrously expensive, it's absolutely fantastic, definately the highlight of my summer and one of the most enjoyable and valuable experiences of my life. Top notch!

Welcome to the occasional ramblings of writer, performer, musician and all-round tortured soul Leo Glaister. It may not be particularly interesting, but at least most of it is pretty much true...

That's good to hear Leo. I myself have been learning much Gypsy Jazz and hope that maybe one day I could be good enough to go along to the Django festival in France.
Tomorrow I'm going to Finland. This is all on my lonesome but should be good too.
See you soon, and happy birthday again.
