My first schottische...

and a million trillion other things that I'm not going to list here. Except this one:

This Tuesday and Wednesday are my group's end of term performances, and it's the first piece of work I've done this year in an actual theatre instead of just in one of the classrooms. I'm excited- you should be excited too! Especially those people who are coming to see it.

Keep your eyes peeled; Who knows, maybe I'll start posting here again...

Do. A number for Wiston perhaps? If we're both there.

And speaking of if we're both there, track down a little song called 'Beedle Um Bum' by Big Bill Broonzy. It could well be a song for you me and the father to play sometime...

I've seen Beedle Um Bum coverered badly by white folks before, so why not.

Andrea and I will be at Pete's for a week or so, starting the 16th of June, if you're around at all? We could come to Glasgow maybe, if you can't make Edinburgh or Pencaitland. I'd like to see Lesley and Andrew's new place if they aren't in Orkney, too.

Also, what's the name of the schottische? I could get hold of the dots, since it's hard to pick the melody from the harmonica harmonies.

Looks like i'll be on my own tomorrow; are you around before the show? we might eat somewhere? I'll need to be on the 9pm bus back afterwards

Okay, let's do this in order. Yes I'm sure I'll be around to come and say hello, I'll probably be able to make it into Edinburgh, so we'll definately get a chance to see each other.

No, I don't know the name of the tune, all I know is that it's by Alan Day. There's a video of someone playing the whole thing better than me (though also on a harmonica) here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S10eWH3Atas

I'm a fraid I won't be around before the show, unless you turn up in Glasgow around 1 in the afternoon, which I assume is unlikely. There is also little possibility of you seeing me afterwards if you need to get the 9 o'clock bus, since we'll be cleaning up and whatnot, though I might be able to pop out for a few moments and say hello to people so you never know.

I think that's everything...
