This is my last post for a while, as I'm going away on my summer holidays tomorrow! Not that it makes much difference, considering the appalling infrequency with which I post anyway, but there you go.

That's really all I have to say. Inner Hebrides, here I come!

Moments of complete unbridled joy are hard to come by, hours are even harder; but it happened last weekend with the performances (and following cast party) of my school's production of West Side Story! What's that I hear you say? "What's so exciting about a little school production?" Well it's hard to explain exactly what it was that was so marvelous about it, quite apart fomr the fact that it went astoundingly well (I believe the word 'stunning' was used by one member of the audience) but the feeling si just lovely, and I can't wait until next year to do it all again! (Except with a different play of course)

played a gig in the sun today. Our first gig on our own, without any other bands, we were excited, the audience were amiably indifferent, and the wather was very, very hot. I'm so tired I'm almost unhappy that we've also got to play at a party tonight. Almost...

If anyone wants to hear us (from a different gig, not this one) you can at www.lonelyfridge.com/lips

When walking with a birdwatcher, be prepared to make numerous stops, for which you can see no reason other than prolonging the time before you get your milkshake.

Vanilla milkshakes are pointless. Buy cream soda: it's cheaper and fizzier.

Old ladies are chatty. Keep moving if you wish to avoid banal conversation about Irish family in America.

I'll leave you with this: If Traveline tell you that getting from Sheffield to Wath-Upon-Dearne by bus is difficult, BELIEVE THEM!

Thank you for your time.
